Data analysis is a
process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modeling the data with the
goal of discovering useful information, information conclusion and supporting
decision-making. It is the process of systematically applying statistical and
logical techniques in order to describe and illustrate, condense, recap and
evaluate the data. There are various types of data analysis such as;
descriptive, predictive, explorative and so on. Here we are going only for
descriptive data analysis regard on budget where budget can be define as an
estimation of revenue and expenses over a specified future period of the time. Budgeting
helps us to create a spending plan for our money and ensure us always have
money for the things that we need and the things that are important for us. Nepal
government also announce its budget in every fiscal year and in fiscal year
2018/19 Finance Minister Yubraj Khatiwada presented Nepal’s first Federal
budget of NPR 1.31 trillion in the parliament where the recurrent budget.
The major highlights of the budget
presentation of fiscal year 2018/19 are adding more revenue to the government
treasury, job creation, tackling with inflation and FDI and special focus on
strengthening local bodies and domestic industries. In this budget presentation
finance minister has separated the budget into various part like financial,
cash and non-cash, administrative expenses, receipts of revenue and grants and
so on. And among all we are mainly focusing on administrative expenses for our
project work. Here is the data of administrative expenses estimation presented
by finance minister for fiscal year 2018/19 which need to be analyzed. The
finance minister has estimated the budget to head of state, constitutional body
and ministry wise expenses under this administrative expenses which is given
below.
Here, we compared the budget
estimation on state level for fiscal year 2017/18 and 2018/19 and found that
the budget estimated for president is higher in fiscal year 2018/19 than the
fiscal year 2017/18. It is higher than the per-capital income of the nation
this is for having the more bilateral and multilateral relationship with others
country by the president and for the health conscious of the president as the
health of president is very important for the nation cause if anything happens
there may be instability of political condition of Nepal along with economic
condition. And in fiscal year 2018/19 finance minister have managed to focus on
every things be it infrastructure development or education or technology. The
estimation are higher for every major aspect than that of fiscal year 2017/18
which can be seen from the graph below.
So, from this data analysis I
got to know that the major sector that must to be emphasized by the government
of Nepal in context of Nepal i.e. infrastructure development as even Nepal is
best for the development of tourism due to low development of infrastructure
development it is hindering us to develop it. Not only infrastructure, even education
development is being impossible to develop as most of students need to walk
more than hours for study which makes them not to study and work rather than
study. And most of the investor are also focusing on trade link rather than
production based industries as production based industries too required
transportation facility to give service and provide products for generating the
revenue of the company. So, infrastructure must be developed in order to
develop other developmental activities like; tourism, agriculture, industry,
education and energy.
